Artist's Comments

I want it to be paint flowing from my fingertips...
I'd rather bleed phosphorescence than tears.

here's a hug from terrigal,
where the sun shines too much and we've stylised a perfect world.

A return hug from Sydney, where smiles are buried under blackened exhaust fumes that press down from above.

I love the textures and the splatter of the bright colors. Interesting structure. Keep up the awesome work Al! :D

I'd turn gay for `Vlei.

It was actually a piece of paper I was allowing the run off from my canvas to spill onto, then I decided to blow the drips with a hairdrier and use it for a canvas of its own.
Came out interesting, if nothing else.

Thanks as always joe. Your critique is always lovely.

You can't see my forest for the trees

O my god, I swear I have cobwebs where a woman should be!

Long story, really.
Simplified: it's just a bad week and a desire to vent.

Too much stress for one cranium sometimes.
But I will be fine, never fear!

Beautiful. I never thought of using a hairdryer to spread the paint drops. (Usually just blow at them or tip my sketch book around until they go in the direction I need them to.)
Reminds me of a piece I did in Studio Art last year... we had to take white crayon, make designs on paper, then use watercolors to bring them out.
Feel better.
